In Bali, Ngrombo is more than just a word. It is the very breath of life that unites the people toward a common goal: to progress together, ensuring no one is left behind. This principle is deeply embedded in every aspect of life on the Island of the Gods. For a long time, Ngrombo has been the spirit of cooperation that drives progress, alleviates extreme poverty, and improves governmental performance.
This is the force that helped Inspector General of Police (Ret.) Sang Made Mahendra Jaya achieve remarkable accomplishments. At a prestigious event in Jakarta, he was awarded the Total Performance Category for regions with high scales. This award is a recognition of his leadership as the Acting Governor of Bali, skillfully integrating the power of Ngrombo into every policy he implemented.
For Mahendra Jaya, leading Bali is a tremendous responsibility. Since taking office in September 2023, he recognized the importance of involving every element of society in every step toward progress. Ngrombo became the main driving force. In Bali, working together is an honor, a call for every individual to contribute for the common good. No one is left behind; this is what enables Bali to face any challenge with heads held high.
This cooperation is not only reflected in governmental efforts but is also felt by the community in everyday life. Bali’s continually growing economy is clear evidence of the strength of this togetherness. Despite various global challenges, Bali remains a peaceful and pleasant place for both locals and tourists. The culture-based tourism ecosystem is well-preserved because every layer of society feels involved in protecting and developing it.
During his leadership, Mahendra Jaya established ten flagship programs covering crucial aspects such as inflation control, stunting prevention, improving public services, and eradicating poverty. Each program is designed to address the community’s needs and is executed with the principle of Ngrombo. One tangible result of this approach is the significant reduction in unemployment over the past year.
Furthermore, in the health sector, Bali has achieved 100 percent Universal Health Coverage (UHC), ensuring that all citizens have access to adequate healthcare services. To prevent stunting, various programs have been launched, from nutrition campaigns to health cadre jamborees. All these initiatives run smoothly, thanks to the strong spirit of togetherness.
Mahendra Jaya’s and Bali’s success is not solely the result of government policies but the fruit of collaboration involving all parties. Ngrombo unites the government, the people, organizations, and other sectors toward one goal: making Bali a better place for everyone.
Behind every major achievement in Bali lies a strong sense of togetherness. Ngrombo is the energy that flows among those who work with heart, ensuring that progress is not just for the few, but for all. Bali, with all its challenges and successes, is living proof that with unity, nothing is impossible. Rahayu.
